Proper way to remove wallpaper

Removal of wallpaper is time consuming but a rewarding task. Preparation : Use plastic on flooring to catch debris and water. Using a steamer place against wall at the top in small sections let steam lift paper from wall as you scrape gently to remove paper, so not to damage walls. If you do gauge wall after you completely remove all wallpaper and glue backing, you would use plaster compound. Then lightly sand the walls and vacuum and wipe all walls to make sure no residue is left behind. Finally you are ready to paint or rewallpaper your room.
